About Us

ELSA (The European Law Students' Association) is the world's largest non-profit, non-political association of law students and young lawyers. It was founded in 1981 in Vienna, and it currently has branches in 35 European countries with over 30 000 members from 200 law faculties. ELSA functions on three levels: local, national and international. ELSA headquarters are in Brussels, and it has consultative status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations and with the Council of Europe.

Immediately after Croatia obtained it's independence, ELSA Croatia was founded. It now has local branches on all four law faculties in Croatia.
